Dove has launched a model search across Canada.
Dove believes beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and ages and is now casting 50 women for their new ad campaign. They are holding auditions for REAL women, not model types.
The Dove model casting call has been going on all month and will be coming to a close on the 30th. The women will be featured in a new ad campaign that will be shot later in the summer and launched this fall across Canada.
Dove is looking for women ages 30 to 100+ who will be celebrating birthdays between September 9 and October 28. Women can learn more about the required qualifications and apply for the casting call by visiting DoveBeautifulAge.ca until May 30.
Sharon MacLeod, Vice President of Unilever North America Personal Care expressed her excitement about the project in a recently interview where she commented “We’re very excited to give real Canadian women an opportunity to be part of a campaign that celebrates beauty of all ages.” The Dove brand launched a few such campaigns in the past. The company launched the Campaign for Real Beauty in 2004 and then another with Elle Magazine in 2011. They also had a few others in the last few years. Dove believes women of all ages have great qualities and looks that should be shared and now they are counting on Canadian women to step up and share those looks.
Details of the new Dove ad campaign, featuring women chosen from this casting call, will be revealed later this fall. But for the moment, Dove is hoping to find 50 women to participate in the new campaign. The company is open to all ages, body types and ethnicities. The model search is for REAL women of all shapes and sized.
Dove, which is made by Unilever, is the No. 1 personal wash brand nationwide in Canada. The company was started in the 1890s, by Lord Lever, founder of Lever Brothers. Today, some 125 years later the company is still going strong with its different brands of personal care products.
Dove also has a self-esteem ptoject with a mission of educating and encouraging the next generation of girls. The Dove Self-Esteem Project is a global Dove initiative that was first established as part of The Campaign for Real Beauty. Dove wants women of all ages, especially young girls to realize their full potential in life. It is one of the only projects in Canada dedicated to the self-esteem of women and girls.
