Hot on the heels of a successful production of Willy Wonka, the Monson Arts Council is holding auditions for the spring musical Alice in Wonderland on Friday January 7th from 7pm to 9pm and Saturday January 8th from 3pm to 5pm. Auditions will be held at the House of Art, Main Street, Monson and are open to adults and older teens.
Auditionees should come prepared to sing a piece of music that demonstrates their vocal talent and st…age presence. Additionally, auditionees should be available for call backs on Sunday, January 9th from 1-3pm.
The Prince Street Players adaptation of Alice and Wonderland MAC has chosen is based closely on the book by Lewis Carrol and features a small cast of actors, dancers, and puppeteers playing multiple roles. It will be directed by Steve Pierce with musical director, Elisabeth Weber.
Alice in Wonderland will be performed at Granite Valley Middle School Theater in early April. School performances will be held for local students during the week of April 4. Four public performances are also scheduled for the first two weekends in April.
