TRUE LIFE: I’M GOING ON ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK
Are you planning to go on an alternative spring break trip? Would you rather rough it for a good cause than party on a beach? Do you feel a higher calling to help others or are you doing it to impress college admission boards? Perhaps you’re going to help build homes in Central America or participate in AIDS education in Africa — what sorts of challenges do you expect to face along the way? Maybe you’ve never set foot outside of the U.S. and are afraid you’ll be overwhelmed by the plight of the people you’ll encounter overseas? Or perhaps you’re simply not sure you can make it without running water for two weeks? Or maybe you’re an Alt Spring Break veteran who’ll be leading a group of first-timers into the field this year?

Are your friends and family supportive of your trip? Or do they fail to grasp the point of your mission? Will your boyfriend or girlfriend be going with you? Or will he or she be texting you from the beaches of Cancun?

If you appear to be between the ages of 17 and 25 and are planning to go on a charity or educational-based spring break trip to a far off land, MTV wants to hear from you. Email us at altspringbreak@mtvn.com and tell us as much as possible about your plans and what this trip means to you. Also, please be sure to include your name, location and phone number.
