Casting for a short film musical

We are casting the following roles:

Jive
Male, Mid to late 20’s. Quick’s (main character) Right hand man. He’s a wisecracking gangster that runs the door at the club.

Handsome Hen
Male, Late to Early 30’s. Handsome Hen is arch nemesis of all ballroomers. He’s the Chicago muscle of steeping, out to make ballrooming extinct. Very sharp dresser with an even sharper attitude.

Jazz
Female. Early 20’s To late 20’s. Jazz is a beautiful, shy, young lady with the voice of an angel. She’s new to the Detroit scene but gets the hang of it really quick

Ms. Lebeau
Female. Early to Late 30’s or older. Ms. Lebeau runs the local burlesque house and extends her services to the late night crowd at the club. She is as feisty as they come and never lets and man get over on her.

Chicago Toe
Male. Early to late 40’s. Chicago Toe is a legend in Chicago sent by The Boss to run ballrooming out of his own town. He is a very menacing man of few words and will stop at nothing to see Chicago stepping takes its rightful crown.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday APRIL 6, 2010 from 5pm-7pm
at The Star Factory, 13305 Capital, Oak Park, MI

This will be a one day shoot on April 11th in Detroit. The time period of the film is the 1930’s era.

Pee Wee and Suga
Male and female. Mid to late 20’s. Always the crowd favorite in ballroming and always looking for a challenge.

Lil Quick
Male. 8 to 12 years old.
