Purdue Musical Organizations will conduct an open casting call Sunday ( Sept. 19 ) for two major speaking roles in the 77th Annual Purdue Christmas Show along with auditions for their Kids Choir.

In addition to casting our PMO Kids Choir, this year PMO is looking for one boy between the ages of 7-10 and one girl between the ages of 10-14 to fill major speaking roles in the show. A parent or guardian must accompany their child to the audition. Each child auditioning is encouraged to bring a written recommendation letter from a teacher, preferably a music teacher, but the letter is not required.
The PMO Kids Choir is featured in the nationally acclaimed Purdue Christmas Show, which is presented annually to a live crowd of thousands and reaches millions more through international broadcasts on public television and radio networks.
The PMO Kids Choir is a big commitment and we’re looking for students with great attitudes, lots of energy and an ability to take direction. If students can sing, move and perform, that’s even better!
During the audition, students will be taught a song & dance routine which they will then perform as the audition piece.
If you have additional questions about the commitment involved for students and parents, please contact PMO Scheduling & Events Coordinator Lance Connolly at (765) 494-3945.
Auditions will be held at 2 p.m. in the basement of the Elliott Hall of Music, Room 15. Boys and girls between the ages of 8-12 with unchanged voices are eligible to audition for the Kids Choir. Children will be taught a song and dance routine in a group setting. Each child will then perform the routine as the audition piece.
