Emerson Theater Collaborative is seeking union/non-union actors for its upcoming production of two short plays, Ink Never Spoils by Lisa Giordano and Rose of New England by Douglas Williams to be performed at the Eastern Chamber of Commerce’s 100th Anniversary Gala in Mystic in November.

Seeking the following characters:

INK NEVER SPOILS

RIP – 88-years-old, retired, former owner and manager of an office supply store. Worked there for 39-years. Originally from Long Island, New York;

AL – 77-years-old, retired, former General Manager of a major newspaper;

HOWARD – 50’s. Present owner and manager of office supply store. Took over after his Uncle Rip retired. Originally from New York;

CUSTOMERS (played by same actor); MR. SMITH – elderly long time patron; DIXIE CUP MAN.

ROSE OF NEW ENGLAND

ROSE – a strong woman of about 70;

GENE – a 13-year-old boy. For more info and to apply,

Please prepare a dramatic monologue and be prepared to read from the script if asked. Please bring a current resume and photo. Rehearsals will be one to two weeks prior to the performances that are scheduled for November 5, 2010 in Mystic, CT.
