“Rock Creek” is the story of Lupe who becomes unhinged after hearing that her son has been killed while away at war. Shadowy memories dissolve into harrowing nightmares as she is haunted by La Llorona. Twenty years earlier she approached a curandera about illegally immigrating into the US. The curandera predicted that glory awaits the unborn child she is carrying, but not without paying a price. Now Lupe is plagued by the grief and guilt over the decision that seems to have caused her son’s death.
