City Theatre-Camp Kappawanna Musical Tour
Contract Type: Non-Equity
City Theatre will be holding Non-Equity auditions for the musical “Camp Kappawanna” (written by Marco Ramirez with music from Lisa Loeb) on Tuesday November 2nd from 1:30-3:30. The show is being re-mounted after a highly successful run during last season’s Summer Shorts Festival. Please submit a headshot/resume for an appointment to john@citytheatre.com or call 917-656-7827.
Please prepare 1 short comedic monologue (less than 2 minutes) and be ready to sing 16 bars a cappella or with a recorded cd. There will be no live accompaniment at the audition.
You may be asked to read from the show following your audition, so please be prepared to stay the entire time.
“Camp Kappawana” will begin as a school tour before settling down for 1-2 week runs in various playhouses in Dade & Broward County. There is also a possible short tour extension at the end of the contract.
Rehearsals will begin approximately May3rd and the contract will run through July 4th, with a possible extension into the month of July.

IT WILL BE ELECTION DAY SO PLEASE GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO FIND PARKING AND NEGOTIATE THE BUSY POLLING STATION INSIDE OF THE LIBRARY.
