AUDITION FOR GOING AND COMING
DIRECTED BY MICHAEL QUARTON, WRITTEN BY RACHEL SHINE AND PRODUCED BY WILL KEESEE
GOING AND COMING is a superbly written narrative written and directed by Northwestern students about a young boy and his father musing about life, love, and the internet as they wait for an important train.
It is a part of the Regina Taylor THE STATE(S) OF AMERICA project organized by the actress director playwright herself. From plays to video shorts to photographs to songs, students will be encouraged to create pieces that challenge all of us to examine who we are as individuals and how we can own our voices to make a difference in the world today.
LOOKING FOR:
MAN (35-50): A romantic man who loves his son but is very concerned about the way technology has infiltrated the dating scene and is looking for a meaningful connection in today’s society. He is gentle, set in his ways, and traditional.
SON (10-15): A young precocious boy, who is rather intelligent for his age but unable to truly relate to other children his own age. He is perhaps a little too old for his body yet still remains innocent and honest, even playful.
It is a great opportunity to work with up and coming student filmmakers. The project will be unpaid but all expenses will be reimbursed.
Auditions will be held on OCTOBER 22 in LOUIS 119 on the Northwestern Campus from 10am-2pm.
Production dates are scheduled for November 6th and November 7th.
