LUBE! THE MUSICAL!
Seeking Men for 4 major roles
This summer Lube is the word as we tell the story of what happens to the Grease gang 20 years later. Come be a part of this 20 year high school reunion where things didn’t turn out the way anyone would have expected. The show takes the idea of Grease and localizes it – creating characters that are even bigger and bolder than the originals – and it’s set in the South Shore for even more comic fodder! Set in the late 70’s, the music is a blend of 50’s doo-wap, disco and funk. The book is broad comedy with a story line about finding your true self, overcoming heartbreak, and finding joy in moving on. We are seeking men and women to be a part of this original cast for the world premiere of Lube. If you are funny and can sing, we’d love to see you. We are in particular need of men.

Slots are limited to 8 performers max. We will attempt try to accommodate everyone’s first choice as much as possible.
Please email your preferred slot times, your headshot (or other recent clear facial photo), performance resume, and contact information to Lynn Wilcott, vlvtjones@gmail.com. You will receive a confirming email from Lynn with your audition slot time.
WHAT TO PREPARE: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script plus vocal and dance audition. Please prepare 1-2 minutes of a pop, rock or musical theatre song of your choice, to be sung either a capella or with (minimal) accompaniment. Please wear loose comfortable clothes and shoes that you can dance and move in. Dance experience preferred, but not required.
