AUDITIONS for EVERY XMAS STORY EVERY TOLD (and then some…)

Carmel Community Players announces auditions for its holiday comedy, “Every Xmas Story Ever Told (and then some…),” apart of CCP’s Make’em Laugh Season. We are seeking three talented actors/actresses who can bring the funny. Production dates are December 9th through 19th. Performance times are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2:30pm.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, October 17th and Monday, October 18th at 7pm, with possible call backs on Tuesday, October 19th at the Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace, 14299 Clay Terrace Blvd, Suite 140, Carmel, IN 46032.

Auditioners are asked to prepare a 1 minute comedic monologue, funny story or tell a joke.
Additionally, they will read from the script and should be prepared for some reindeer (read: improv) games. Extensive knowledge of Christmas stories, history and trivia a plus, but not necessary. Will Train! Those who don’t believe in Santa Claus need not apply! Rehearsals are planned to start the week after auditions.

Please contact director Michael T. Long at mtlong@carmelplayers.org or (317) 966-5881 if you have any questions or to obtain a copy of the script.

Synopsis: Instead of performing Charles Dickens’ beloved holiday classic for the umpteenth time,
three actors decide to perform every single Christmas story ever told — plus Christmas traditions from around the world, seasonal icons from ancient times to topical pop-culture, and every carol ever sung. A madcap romp through the holiday season! Over the course of the show, the audience is called upon to help these three comedic actors as they portray as many holiday stories and characters as they can remember. Using crazy costumes, special effects and, of course, their wits, they visit such stories as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Gift of the Magi, Frosty the Snowman, Holidays in Sweden, and everything in between.
