Auditions for The Program in Educational Theatre’s award-winning
13th Annual Staged Reading Series at the Black Box Theatre 2010

Thursday, April 8, 2010 6-10pm Pless 3rd Floor Lounge- Acting Only
Friday, April 9, 2010 6-10pm Pless 3rd Floor Lounge- Singing Only
Music Callbacks, Saturday, April 10, 2010, 35 W 4th St, Rm 770- Singing Only
Monday, April 12, 2010 7-10pm Pless 3rd Floor Lounge- Acting Only
Callbacks, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 7-10pm Pless 3rd Floor Lounge- Acting and Singing

WHERE:
Auditions will be held in Pless Hall, 3rd Floor Lounge (82 Washington Square East)
*Music Callbacks on Saturday, April 10th will be held in the Education Building (35 W 4th Street)

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Actors- Prepare a 3-5 minute monologue for the audition. Bring an acting resume and headshot or larger picture of yourself.

Singers- Prepare a 2-4 minute song you will sing acapella for the April 9th audition (if you prefer, bring a CD and your own player). Bring an acting resume and headshot or larger picture of yourself.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

The Changeling
By: Angela Betzien Director: Emelie Fitzgibbon
Explores connections between the contemporary and ancient, young people and public space, mythology and war, and how those connections are expressed.
Rehearsal: Sunday, June 6th – Friday, June 11th 6:00-10:00pm
Performance: Saturday, June 12th at 3pm & 7:30pm / Sunday, June 13th at 3pm followed by a talk back

Mighty Miracle Saves the World
By: José Cruz Gonzalez Director: Emily Petkewich Kohring
A three-character play about a little girl, her grandmother, and a dog that has an uncanny ability to be around where miracles happen.
Rehearsal: Sunday, June 13th – Friday, June 18th 6:00-10:00pm
Performance: Saturday, June 19th at 3pm & 7:30pm / Sunday, June 20th at 3pm followed by talk back

Grotesque Arabesque
By: Ric Averill Director: Deirdre Kelly Lavrakas
A rock opera based on the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe.
Rehearsal: Thursday, June 17th –Friday, June 25th 6:00-10:00pm
Performance: Saturday, June 26th at 3pm & 7:30pm / Sunday, June 27th at 3pm followed by talk back
