ABOUT THE WRITER / DIRECTOR:
Darcy Hogan is a local Orange County director, actor and playwrite, and an OC
Weekly Award-Winner for “Best New Play of 2005”. She is also the writer of
Theatre Out’s audience-favorite late night Christmas musical “Last Christmas I
Gave You My Heart, But The Very Next Day You Said You Were Gay” which played to
sold-out audience for the past three years. Because of her extensive background
and training in classical theater, which dates back to 1984 and included four
seasons with the Utah Shakespearean Festival, she is particularly skilled at
adapting classical works.
As a director she has received critical-acclaim for her stagings, including Lord
Sheridan’s “The Rivals”. She has previously directed both “The Laramie Project”
and “The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later” for Theatre Out.
