“Sympathy 3000-21.” A Wesleyan student-film about a lonely housewife who buys a robot to help around the house and slowly finds herself developing real feelings for the machine. A sci-fi, melodrama about “forbidden love” in the 21st century.
Maureen [Female Lead, 30-40] – A frustrated, broken, lonely housewife whose husband is away, serving in the Army. She wants love and affection and finds it in the most unusual place…
Jim [Male Lead, 25-35] – A robot so sophisticated, he can almost pass as human. He is handsome, charming, kind, and straight-edge – the kind of person everybody likes.
Shooting is on Oct. 30 and 31 and on Nov. 6 and 7.
