LEGOLAND California announces auditions for our 2011 Winter Season. We are casting numerous actors, singers, dancers and triple threats to portray a wide variety of Holiday roles!
Show Descriptions:
Let it Snow: A Holiday musical about 10 year old Emily who just moved from up North to Southern California. Her Holiday wish is for it to snow. As she drifts off to sleep, her toys come to life to work frantically to make Emily’s dreams come true!
The Brickette’s: LEGOLAND’s own trio of young girl singers; The Brickette’s are a group of 11 – 12 year old girls. This Holiday show features lots of singing and dancing!
The Jingle Jammers: A “Glee” style group of carolers will dazzle our crowds with amazing harmonies and dancing.
Costume Character Party: Our Holiday Costume Characters will be joined by a quartet of Elves and Rockette dancers to celebrate the season with our guests.

AUDITIONS:
Auditions will be held on October 4th, 5th, 6th at 6:00PM and October 8th @ 1:00PM. All auditions are held by appointment. To schedule an audition appointment, please email auditions@legoland.com
Let it Snow; The Brickette’s, The Jingle Jammer’s and The Emcee:
Please prepare a 1 minute comedic monologue and a 1 minute up-tempo Broadway or Holiday song. Sheet music is required and an accompanist is provided.
Costume Character Party Dancer:
If you are interested in auditioning for a dancer position only, a separate audition will be held for you. Please email auditions@legoland.com for more information.
Costume Characters:
Auditions for Costume Characters will happen by private appointment on a separate day/time. If you are interested in this position, please email auditions@legoland.com and let us know you want to be a costume character.

Let it Snow (KIDS): Wednesday, October 12th from 5:00PM – 7:00PM
Let it Snow (ADULTS): Wednesday, October 12th from 7:00PM – 9:30PM
The Brickette’s: Thursday, October 13th from 5:00PM – 7:00PM
The Jingle Jammers: Thursday, October 13th from 7:00PM – 9:30PM
Costume Character Party (Ages 16 and up only): Anyone attending callbacks for Let it Snow or Jingle Jammers will be considered for this production. If you are only interested in the dancer position of this show, please email auditions@legoland.com for details.

RATE OF PAY:
All roles pay $14.00 (Costume Characters pay $10.00 per hour)
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
(The number at the end of the description denotes the number of positions available for that particular role)
LET IT SNOW
EMILY (female ages 9 – 12) – A 10 year old girl with a sweet demeanor, who has moved to California from up north and doesn’t feel like the Holidays will be magical without snow. (4)
FAIRY (female ages 13 and up) – Emily’s favorite dancing doll that she has had for a long, long time. She’s graceful and dainty in not only her movements but in her way of talking and everything she does. She often “dances” as she speaks. Soprano (3)
TOY SOLDIER (male ages 13 and up) – Another one of Emily’s old toys. He’s very precise and somewhat harsh in everything he does and says. He paces when he needs to think. He’s very military. Baritone (3)
DOG (male or female ages 13 and up) – He’s Emily’s newest toy – a puppy dog – given to her since their move to California. His “youth” shows through all the time but makes him clumsy. Extended “r”s – somewhat of a “growl” are indicated at times. Tenor/Alto (3)
CHIP, THE TECNO ELF (male or female ages 12 and up) – Not just one of Santa’s elves, but Santa’s top computer engineer elf! And as all elves do, has a magical touch. Somewhat nerdy, but actors can chose to play in different ways. Baritone – Tenor/Alto (3)
THE BRICKETTE’S
BRICKETTE (Females ages 11 – 12) – A highly energetic young lady with good charisma. Must be able to sing and dance for upwards of 20 minutes. Strong harmonies are a must. (1 – 2)
THE JINGLE JAMMERS
MALE 1 (ages 16 and up Bass) – A highly energetic quartet, with the ability to dance and sing for upwards of 25 minutes. Strong harmonies are a must. (2 – 4)
MALE 2 (ages 16 and up Tenor) – A highly energetic quartet, with the ability to dance and sing for upwards of 25 minutes. Strong harmonies are a must. (2 – 4)
FEMALE 1 (ages 16 and up Alto) – A highly energetic quartet, with the ability to dance and sing for upwards of 25 minutes. Strong harmonies are a must. (2 – 4)
FEMALE 2 (ages 16 and up Mezzo Soprano) – A highly energetic quartet, with the ability to dance and sing for upwards of 25 minutes. Strong harmonies are a must. (2 – 4)
CHARACTER PARTY DANCERS
DANCER 1 & 2 (Males ages 16 and up) – Dancer of various genres to portray an elf. (2 – 4)
DANCER 3 & 4 (Females ages 16 and up) – Dancer of various genres to portray a Rockette. (2 – 4)
HOLIDAY EMCEE
EMCEE (Male or Female ages 16 and up) – A Holiday Host with great microphone and improvisational skills. Able to clearly and effectively communicate with our guests in a comedic manner. (3 – 4)
COSTUME CHARACTERS:
COSTUME CHARACTER (Male or Female ages 16 and up): Must be between 4’11 – 5’4. Able to wear full body costumes and support the weight of that costume for long periods of time. Dance experience helpful as these characters also learn choreography in the Costume Character Party. May swing positions as a Character Party Dancer is interested. Able to double as a character escort and provide strong customer service. Auditions for these positions will be held by a separate appointment. This role pays $10.00 per hour.
