Do you think like a kid? Are you a strong presenter and can think on your feet? Then this might be the job for you! We are looking for hosts for a LIVE daily national morning programming block for 2 – 6 year olds- PBS SPROUT’S “THE SUNNY SIDE UP SHOW.”
Hosts join a playful chicken puppet to guide viewers through activities, games, crafts, and inspire viewers to join in the fun! We “play” with popular characters from scheduled programs (i.e. Sesame Street, Bob the Builder, Barney and beyond) – think of this as a VJ that knows everything there is to know about the channel, its characters, and what engages “the sandbox set.” The show is interactive, with viewers emailing weather reports, photos, messages, and more, which we share back on-air all morning long as a way to connect with preschoolers and their families.
You’ll need to be personable, energetic, natural and cool under pressure (it is LIVE TV after all!). Improvisation background and experience with kids in this age group, a playful sense of humor and desire to be a part of a team all a BIG plus. Focus is on natural and engaging presentation skills as opposed to “acting.” One year commitment is required; some weekend work. Must be willing to participate in full background check.

Shooting location is PHILADELPHIA. You must live (or be willing to re-locate) to the Philadelphia area.
