OPEN AUDITIONS FOR A FEATURE FILM
TITLE: “Lighter”
DATES: Friday, Sept. 30th and Saturday, Oct. 1 from 1-5:30pm

SYNOPSIS: Roman Clower, a successful comedian, has a meltdown while on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He returns to his hometown to try and re-brand himself as a dramatic actor by starring in a community theatre production of Hamlet. As if this weren’t enough, Roman discovers that his out-of-town successes may have alienated the folks he thought were friends.
We are currently casting roles to be filmed in the Upstate
AGNES, a lead role (age 50-65, white). She’s Roman’s mother: a kind woman with a penchant for calling in to talk radio programs.
REGGIE (age 12-14, African American) for a speaking role in a middle school class setting.
We’re also looking for actors ages 18-60, male and female, for a variety of speaking roles. All ethnicities welcome and encouraged.
LIGHTER is a dark comedy feature shooting in Los Angeles, Greenville, Travelers Rest and Blue Ridge from Oct. 10-Oct. 29th. We’ll be holding auditions at the Leopard Forest Café from 1-5:30p.m. on Friday and Saturday Sept. 30th and Oct. 1. A monologue will not be necessary.
