A 1-UP Kind of Life
Casting notice posted on auditionsfree.com, casting location: Raleigh, NC
Casting is taking place for the mockumentary web series, A 1-UP Kind of Life. It’s the story of a college grad who wants to play video games professionally. Sounds like the life, doesn’t it? His parents, of course, are not too thrilled. It’s “The Office” for gamers, looking at gaming culture with humorous characters.
We’re looking for actors in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area to cast the lead role.
Trey Stevens (caucasian, early 20’s), the main character of the show. He’s cocky, very competitive. Also quick-witted, funny.
This is a non-paying role. The show is due to relaunch on a weekly basis in late September on YouTube and on the official website. We are also looking to enter several episodes of the show into web series/new media festivals. The first episode of the show was recently screened at the Retro Arcade II Gaming event in the United Kingdom.
Auditions will be held Saturday, July 23rd. Production is scheduled to begin in August.
