NFL Cheerleader Tryouts 2011
The 3 time Superbowl champions The New England Patriots will be holding auditions for their cheerleading squads in March 2011.
New England Patriot Dance Squad
The New England Patriots dance squad performs at home games and is made up of 16 to 20 dancers. Performances are held at the Gillette Stadium and cheerleaders will be required to attend 2 weekly rehearsals during the season. Patriot cheerleaders are also required to do public appearances. Ladies chosen to be in the cheerleading squad will also be featured in a printed squad poster and a swimsuit calender.
To Tryout for the squad, ladies must be at least 18 years of age and high school graduates (GED is OK). Dancers should bring photos and resume to the audition and come prepared to dance and learn a few new routines. Dancers are encouraged to wear form fitting clothes and come to the audition with hair and makeup. The look the Patriots are going for is “Glamour”.
Patriots Cheerleaders will perform at all 10 home games at Gillette Stadium, however, they do not perform at away games. If the Patriots go to the Superbowl, the Patriot cheerleaders will most likely also go. Patriots Cheerleaders are part-time employees and are compensated for practices, games and public appearances. Cheerleader practice begins in April.
Be aware that The Patriots do have age restrictions and height requirements.

PRELIMINARY AUDITIONS

2 dance combinations will be taught during the preliminary audition process. The dancers will also be allowed to showcase their talents with a freestyle segment during the audition process. There will be a $20 audition fee.
The Patriots Cheerleaders enjoy many perks and benefits including travel, appearances on TV and radio shows and performing in front of 70,000 people. Patriots Cheerleaders will receive many other benefits, which may include complimentary hair services, tanning and cosmetic dentistry services.
Patriots Cheerleaders have appeared on many local and national television shows such as Entertainment Tonight, E! Television, Inside Edition, Fox News National, the Late Show with David Letterman, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, Good Morning America and the CBS Early Show, just to name a few. The ladies have also appeared in national publications such as Maxim, Muscle and Fitness, FHM (U.S. and China publications) and Men’s Style. Cheerleaders have made personal appearances throughout the United States and have entertained U.S. military troops stationed in more than 25 countries since 9/11.
