The Flaming Dames 2011-12 season Auditions!
Wanted: Female actors who are strong dancers; serious inquiries only.
Singing is not required for the audition, but if you can sing, prepare
16-32 bars a cappella. Must be comfortable with burlesque style of
dance.
Wanted: Male actors for emcee roles. Looking for strong stage presence
and comfortable with improvisation. Emcees should be prepared for some
stage-managing duties and be committed to pre- and post- show set-up
and/or tear-down. Singing is a plus but not necessary. If you do sing,
prepare 16-32 bars a cappella.
Also looking for pickup artists, people interested in seeing what this
group is about and helping with the behind the scene action. Think
stage manager, but with a saucy spin. Auditions will be held on
Thursday July 28th, from 7pm-10pm at Sheil Park, 3505 North Southport
Ave. Please bring your H/R. Girls, be ready to dance. Boys should
prepare a short comedic monologue. Guys will be seen from 7-7:30pm and
girls will be needed for the full 2 ½ hours from 7:30-10pm.
