Choreographers Micheline Heal, Elizabeth O’dell, & Matina Phillips are looking for dancers for projects in the upcoming 2011-2012 season. Mich-Mash Productions is a member organization of YC2 (pronounced “YC Squared” – short for “Young Choreographers Collective”), a collective of dance artists based in Washington DC. Rehearsals will culminate in a fully produced concert in the spring. Rehearsals are unpaid, performance pay varies by choreographer.
Micheline Heal, Artistic Director of Mich-Mash Productions, received a 2011 Young Artist Grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and was a resident artist at the Firkin Crane in Cork, Ireland in 2010. www.michelineheal.com
Elizabeth O’dell from Louisville, Kentucky received her B.S. in Dance Education at Radford University. She is seeking a range of dancers from very technically trained to brand new. Actors and non-dancers would also be considered.
Matina Phillips received her BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography from Elon University in 2010 and is currently performing with D.C. companies Mich-Mash Productions and Contradiction Dance.
