Auditions for Male singers for the Florida Opera Theatre – Barber of Seville
Florida Opera Theatre is currently looking for male chorus members for paid performances.
Seeking singers for ‘The Barber of Seville, Rigoletto’ and Future Projects
Please prepare an aria, art song or legit musical theatre selection. No prior opera experience required.
Audition dates:
Saturday October 22, 2011 from 2:00pm-5:00pm
and
Sunday October 23, 2011 from 6:00pm-9:00pm
Auditions will be held at the offices of The Orlando Philharmonic: 812 E. Rollins St. Suite 300, Orlando, FL 32803 (In the same building as the Orlando Shakespeare Theaters, directly across form the Orlando Museum of Art).
Music rehearsals for The Barber of Seville will begin in early December with staging beginning January 3rd, 2012. The opera will be presented in Vero Beach on January 15th, 2012, in St. Augustine on January 20th and 22nd, and in Orlando on January 29th.
Rigoletto will be presented by The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in collaboration with Florida Opera Theatre on March 2nd and 4th 2012 at The Bob Carr Auditorium. Music rehearsal begin in late January and staging begins February 20th, 2012.
