The 3rd annual Gatlinburg Screenfest Film Festival is looking for actors or journalists to participate in a unique casting call opportunity. Gatlinburg Screenfest is an independent film festival sponsored by Ripley’s Entertainment. We focus on networking within the film industry. The festival this year is being held Friday, March 25 through Sunday, March 27 at the River Terrace Resort next to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg.
New for the festival this year is the Screenfest News Correspondent contest. Throughout the 2011 year and up until the 2012 festival, the person that wins the contest will be the face of upcoming Screenfest News. It is a terrific opportunity for this person to gain exposure, especially to filmmakers interested in participating in our festival. Also the videos will be shown on our website GatlinburgScreenfest.com, which has over 530,000 views. Anyone looking to add recognition or break into the film industry would greatly benefit from this opportunity.
The rules are simple to enter the contest. A 30 second audition video must be shot at the festival and submitted by April 3 through our website. Videos will be added to the Screenfest Facebook page, and each “like” to the video will count as one vote. Whichever person has the most “likes” after three weeks will win!
