Non-paying. Non-union short film. Shooting in the Martinsburg, WV area before September.Looking at a five-day shoot. Actors will get a credit in the film and a gas allowance. Looking for African-American Actors/Actresses ranging in age 30-55.

1.PHYLLIS WATSON, in her early 30’s, African American woman, married to Kareem Watson. Has a three year old daughter named Simone. Has just learned her husband has been drafted.
2. KAREEM WATSON, in his early 30’s, African American man. He’s married to Phyllis and has a daughter named Simone. Kareem has just learned that he’s being drafted in the Vietnam War, medium build
3. OLDER PHYLLIS, 40-50 years of age; African American woman, extremely understanding; a peace-maker, raised her daughter Simone as a single parent; warm, bubbly personality, forgives easily, sees the best in everyone
4.OLDER KAREEM, 40-50 years of age; African American man; homeless Vietnam vet with mental problems, but has a heart of gold, regrets abandoning his family
5. MAN IN SCENE 3, early 20’s, white man, trouble-maker
6.OLDER SIMONE, in her early 30’s. African American woman, engaged to Elijah, has “abandonment issues”, extremely stubborn, is preparing for her wedding in a few days
7.ELIJAH, 30-35 years of age, African American man, engaged to Simone, very understanding personality, tries to get Simone to forgive her father for not being in her life, clean-shaven, educated
8.DOCTOR; 40-60 years of age; any nationality; gives Kareem the dreaded news that he’s dying
9. MINISTER, 40-50 years of age, any nationality; marries Simone and Elijah
