Tryout for MasterChef 2012!
Open Calls are scheduled for the Gordon Ramsay cooking competition this fall. Masterchef is the FOX Network show that puts non-professional cooks through the wringer to see if they will come out a Master Chef at the end.

If so, come tryout for the 2012 season of MasterChef!
The series will be running a nationwide search for 18 contestants that will move onto the MasterChef show and MasterChef Kitchen to join the show. They will be holding open casting calls from D.C. to San Francisco and many places in between.
Famed chef Gordon Ramsay is back for Round three!
The FOX culinary smash hit, MASTERCHEF will feature Gordon Ramsay and returning judges Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot. The three judges put the reality TV cooking contestants through a series of exciting elimination rounds. At the end of the season, the one amateur cook left standing should be a culinary master and MasterChef!
BTW, did I mention the show’s winner will win $250,000.00!!
OPEN CALLS are coming soon to a city near you! Come and meet the MasterChef Casting Team for your best chance to be on the show! You MUST bring one prepared dish to be served to the food judges.
Please note the following restrictions before you attend an open call or tryout for MasterChef:
- We will NOT be considering professional chefs who work in professional kitchens
- This is a Reality Competition for Amateur cooks only
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and either a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. legal resident with the unrestricted ability to work in the U.S.
You will be given a few minutes to plate your dish at the given casting location, but there will not be a kitchen to cook or warm it up so come prepared!
If you are planning to attend an OPEN CALL, you are strongly encouraged to do the following:
1. Pre-register your profile and pick your open call location in advance (PRE-REGISTER HERE).
2. Download the application form HERE and bring it with you to an open call.
3. Bring a current photo of yourself
4. Bring a photo of your plated dish
5. Bring your food/ingredients to be finished and plated once you enter the audition room. NOTE: There will not be a kitchen to cook or warm up your dish so come prepared!

Please note that in three of the scheduled MasterChef tryouts the actual judges will be there and you may have a chance to meet the stars of the show.

So far the above are the only open calls announced – however, there is also a Food Truck version of this casting – where it seems you go to a casting call for MasterChef at a Food Truck that goes to other cities and parks – Contestants then bring their dishes up to the truck.
The Food Truck MasterChef casting dates and times have not yet been announced, but some of the the cities have. So far we know the food truck will be in Arizona, Utah and Colorado – dates and times will be announced soon.
So if the above MC tryouts aren’t in your area, maybe the Food Truck will be.
