MTV is having an open casting call for High School drop outs for a new reality show. The casting will take place in the city of Waukegan, near Chicago, IL. Seeking students 17 to 20 years of age.
MTV is casting for 20 high school students nationwide. The 20 high school drop outs will be given the opportunity to take classes again, but this time the teachers will be people who are the top of their fields. MTV hopes to get the 20 students excited about school again and also bring attention to the issue of teenagers dropping out of school.
While the teens are waiting to meet with the MTV casting directors, they will have a chance to learn about continuing their education and be able to speak with people from several organizations about returning to school and entering the job force.
During the audition, students will be asked to share their experiences about school, why they dropped out and what their plans are for the future.
Some attendees also will also be interviewed for a local TV show called “A Time for Change” which will soon air on Lake County TV and currently airs on Comcast Cable.
