NEW ORLEANS OPERA IS LOOKING FOR SUPERNUMERARIES FOR
IL TROVATORE
What is a supernumerary you ask? A ‘super’ is a non-singing/non-speaking acting role in an opera. Supers can be anything from palace guards to ladies in waiting, to judges, executioners, you name it. You get the chance to work with world class opera singers and directors and experience Romeo & Juliet in another medium.
Super roles for this production: Seeking ladies to be gypsies and ladies in waiting for Leonora, and men to be soldiers and gypsies. Also, seeking older character men
Rehearsal will begin on Thursday March 17th in the evening:

The tech schedule is as follows:
Monday March 28th 6:00-11:00 (Piano Tech)
Tuesday March 29th 7:00-10:30 (Orchestra Dress #1)
Wednesday March 30th 7:00-10:30 (Orchestra Dress #2)
Friday April 1st – Opening Night 8:00pm
Sunday April 3rd – Performance #2 2:30pm
All rehearsals take place at the First Baptist Church on Canal Blvd.
The techs and performances are at the Mahalia Jackson Theater.
There is a $50.00 honorarium for being a super.
