Tour Two:Approximately March 1 thru May 5th, 2012 Rehearsals will precede tour for new company members.
Bits N’ Pieces Puppet Theatre is looking for two puppeteer/actor/dancer performers for our national tour of Peter Rabbit for school children. Physical coordination and upper body strength is important. Basic dancing musical choreography and blocking. No singing required, puppets perform to a prerecorded music track. This is a salaried touring position–plus a food allowance and lodging when on the road. Generally there are two 50 minute performances a day, 3-4 days a week. Load in to the theater is four hours. Load out is 1.5 hours. All three of the company members share performance, stage build up, technical and driving duties. This is a great chance to tour and get onstage and backstage experience with audiences and crews in a variety of venues. You must be an adult who enjoys travel and driving- with a valid drivers license and able to pass Florida education fingerprinting test. The puppeteer must perform in our 40lb. 9ft. tall, backpack puppets as well large head costumes. Please see our website
The company will be on the road for multiple weeks at a time with returns to the Tampa area between bookings. Performances are in theaters, college auditoriums, cultural centers in the eastern and central United States.
