With more than 12 locations nationwide and growing, The Dinner Detective is America’s largest interactive murder mystery dinner show. We were recently voted by FOX 11, CitySearch, CityVoter and Good Morning LA as the “Best Dinner Show” and “Best Interactive Theater”. We have been around for over 7 years. We have shows almost every Saturday night, we also host private parties and additional shows over the Holidays. The parts needing to be filled are male and female cast members. We are looking to hire a rotating cast of about 15 performers (9 per show) both male and female.

The starting pay scale is: Seated Performers:
$40 base pay + tips and a four course meal.
First to Die: $40 base pay and leaves right after they die at beginning of show
Detectives: $80 base pay + tips
Co-host: $70 base pay
Host: $100 base pay

Tips generally increase your pay about 30% – 50% more.

Rehearsals begin about 1.5 hours prior to show start time (typically 4:30 rehearsals).

The way the show works is as follows: Performers are dressed just like everyone else, leaving all of the guests to suspect who is a part of the show and who is not. Much of the show is improvised, but you will have certain things that need to be done. In many instances, guests are seated with performers and don’t even realize it until they die (the performers that is). Detectives proceed to interrogate everyone and find clues as more people die. At the end of the night, prizes are awarded to the guest who solves the crime. Show usually ends around 9:30ish and the guests usually want to hang out with you afterwards and take pictures. You don’t need to stay afterwards, but are more than welcome to. We do sell out almost every public show and have a cap of about 80 guests per venue.
