The Vector Project:
Dawn M. Ellis, multi-disciplinary artist and researcher seeks two improvisational, multidisciplinary performers to create a retreat company for four days during her residence in internationally known artist residency studio specializing in visual arts and writing. Diversity in gender, background, age, artistic disciplines welcome. Are you a triple threat? Do you naturally improvise or jam? If you sing, hold tone a cappella, harmonize with others; dance or move well; and/or speak, write, recite, or act, consider this. Other artistic specialities, such as circus, mime, gymnastics, instrumental music, visual and multi-media arts could be plus.
The selected performers will receive retreat privileges at Vermont Studio Center Thursday Nov. 8, 2012 – Sunday November 11th in small, bucolic town of Johnson, VT, including lodging for one person (families not allowed) if desired, and involvement with an international artist community including inclusion in the excellent community meals. Rehearsals will vary, but primarily occur during portions of the day, leaving time to work on your own creative writing projects. Cold weather comes early in this northern mountainous town, be prepared to work in a variety of environments, from historical structures to Main street, USA.
