America’s Next Top Model Cycle 19

Top Model cycle 19 auditions are here!

Twice a year the hit Tyra Banks reality series Top Model holds open casting calls for the top rated modeling competition. As always, auditions are scheduled across the country in mid sized cities and small towns. 2012 is no exception and the first dates have been announced for February and March of 2012.

Top model is the CW’s most popular show and a favorite of many teenage girls that have kept the show going strong for a decade. The Top Model modeling competition normally casts 16 aspiring models for the show. The girls all move in together into a house or large apartment in the city. Over the next few weeks, the girls are given a makeover and judged on various qualities such as look, walk, beauty, charisma and photograph-ability. Every week the models complete a photoshoot and the photos are then judged by a panel of industry experts including Tyra Banks. The judges decide on a winner and a loser for the episode. The losing model gets eliminated from the show and the remaining girls move on to the next photo shoot. At the end of the cycle only 2 models will remain and they compete against each other in a fashion week runway show. The winner of Top Model will get a modeling contract worth $100,000 and the coveted title of ‘America’s Next Top Model.

Cycle 19 is looking for more aspiring models that are 5’7″ and taller, sorry, no petite models this cycle. Producers have stated that they are also looking for plus sized models this season. Models applying for ANTM must be between the ages of 18 and 27.

Models wishing to attend the open casting calls should bring the following with them:

Photos – bring a headshot and a full body shot or 2, to the audition location. You will be asked to leave the photos with the casting directors. Photos do not need to be professional but they should be recent photos that are clear. (no webcam or mobile phone photos). The headshot should be a clear close up of your head and face and the body shots should be one of you fully clothed and another can be a swimsuit.
ID – you will need to bring some form of ID with you to the casting call. Be aware that you must be a U.S. citizen to apply for ANTM.

You can make a 3 minute video and send it to the Top Model casting team. Also you must include a Top Model application that you can find here and 3 photos of yourself (headshot, full body shot clothed and full body shot in a swimsuit). You can get more info on how to create your video here.
