Spiked Punch Productions is seeking talented Non-Union Actors for its inaugural short film, “Happy Birthday Chad!”. Shooting will be for 2-3 days in July (Exact Date TBD).

Synopsis:
Today is Chad’s Birthday and he has just received a package from his boyfriend, Marc, who has been working abroad for the past couple months. He opens the package to discover a strange-looking drug. When Chad’s secret lover, Billy, stops by and tries the drug, he quickly discovers that this powder turns unsuspecting victims into flesh-eating zombies. This is a Birthday Chad won’t soon forget. . . if he can manage to survive.

About the Producers:
“Happy Birthday Chad!” is a collaboration between Jason Sharman and Adam Kirkham.

Jason Sharman is the Manager of Business Administration at Behind The Scenes Services where he brings studio level knowledge and efficiencies to small and mid-sized producers, while providing outsourcing solutions to larger producers. He has worked on many film and television productions including “Sanctuary”, “Bump!”, “Howie Do It”, and the upcoming horror feature from Rue Morgue, “The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh”. With a BFA in Theatre from York University, Jason has collaborated on a number of creative ventures for both film and live theatre.

Adam Kirkham recently finished a three-year stint as Development & Communications Manager at the Toronto Fringe and is a core collaborator with Flemish Beauty Films. His first screenplay, “The Inquisitive Snail”, was produced by Flemish Beauty and has screened across the world and won various awards. When screening “The Inquisitive Snail” at the Victoria International Film Festival in 2009, Flemish Beauty Films was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 20 Promising Filmmakers by a panel that included producer Michael Donovan (Bowling for Columbine), director Bruce McDonald (Hard Core Logo) and Maclean’s film critic Brian D. Johnson.

BILLY: Male / Mid 20’s – Early 30’s / Any Ethnicity
Billy is a fit and rugged guy who has been sleeping with Chad over the last couple months. He tends to follow his libido rather than his brain. Must be comfortable with kissing another man.
