“Django Unchained” is a new Quentin Tarantino film that is currently firming in New Orleans. Production is planning on coming back to the Los Angeles area to film more scenes and a casting call for talent, actors and extras has gone out. The film is looking for many people for this project.
“Django Unchained” has a star studded cast that includes Leo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kerry Washington, Kurt Russel, Jamie Foxx, Don Johnson, James Remar, RZA, James Spader and many, many more talented actors.
“Django Unchained” is about slaves in the South and the movie is looking for African American talent to play slaves in the 1800’s. “Django Unchained” is about former dentist, Dr. King Schultz, buys the freedom of a slave, Django, and trains him to become his deputy bounty hunter. Instead, he is led to the site of Django’s wife who is under the hands of Calvin Candie, a ruthless plantation owner.
Production is scheduled to come to the L.A. area in June and the film will film in the city of Santa Clarita, California.
Casting directors are looking for African Americans who are 18 and over and OK with the subject matter of slavery. Seeking non-union actors and background that can play a person from the 1800’s, meaning, no visible tattoos, piercings, weaves, etc. Seeking people with natural hair and natural bodies.

The open casting call will be held in Burbank and the movie will shoot in Santa Clarita which is about 30 miles outside of the city.
