Rebekah Theatre Project is seeking strong Actors for their production of the multi-award winning play, The Shadow Box by Michael Cristofer.
The Shadow Box takes place over one day in three hospice cottages on the grounds of a large American hospital. The cottages are inhabited by terminally ill patients and their loved ones who care-take and support them. The play revolves around how each patient deals with their situation, with the relationship of their families, regrets, fond memories and outright joy at being together.
Directed by Toma Tavares Langston
Performances will be held at the Raven Theatre West Stage.
ROLES AVAILABLE:
The Interviewer – 30s to 50s, male or female
Steve – Age Range: Mid-20s to Late 30s. Some acoustic guitar playing is desired!
Mark – Age Range: Mid-20s to Late-30s
Felicity – Age Range: 50s and Older
Agnes – Ages Range: Mid-20s to 30s
All ethnicities strongly encouraged to audition. Please be somewhat familiar with the Characters in The Shadow Box.
TIME COMMITMENT:
Rehearsals will be Sundays through Thursdays starting in October to November 2012. Performances begin November 29th running Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through to December 23rd.
MATERIALS TO PREPARE:
Please prepare a 1 to 2 minute monologue similar to the subject matter and style of The Shadow Box.
