Dear Detroit Acting Community –
Backstage (We) are looking for volunteers/extras for our trade show event (Actorfest):
• Actorfest is the world’s largest event for actors and performers, and is produced by backstage.com , the leading publication for the performing arts community
• ACTORFEST DETROIT will be on SATURDAY, MAY 19TH at the RALEIGH STUDIOS MICHIGAN and will feature open casting calls, an information driven exhibit hall, workshops with top industry pros, and meet & drops sessions with top casting directors in the Detroit area.
Volunteers will be responsible for:
• Directing and supporting Casting directors, Vendors and other attendees
• Greeting attendees
• Helping setup
• Passing out information
• Keeping lines organized
Volunteers will receive:
• Subscriptions to Backstage
o Morning Shift/Evening Shift: 6-month subscription to Back Stage print & online (valued at $99)
o All Day Shift: 1-year subscription to Back Stage print & online (valued at $195)
• Food and beverage for All Day Shift
• Actorfest T-shirt
• Attend a class/workshop at Actorfest (dependent on availability and resources)
We are looking for volunteers for the following shifts:
• 7am-2pm : Morning Shift
• 1pm-7pm: Evening Shift
• 7am-7pm: All Day Shift
