Open Auditions for TV Series
Netflix is casting for extras, featured extras and supporting roles for a new series that it is producing. “House of Cards” stars Kevin Spacey and is a project that will bring Netflix into the original content category competing against HBO, Showtime, and other major networks. Netflix describes the new show as a “much-anticipated television series and political thriller from Executive Producer David Fincher (The Social Network).”
Unlike other TV shows that normally have a time slot, The new series will be on-demand and distributed through the Netflix service.
The show will be shooting around the DC area and is looking for people that look like they fit in at D.C. (Washington types). Casting the following types:
Hill staffers, aides, reporters, politicians, lobbyists and “elegant Washington types” of various ages.
Auditions for Netflix will be held this weekend in Maryland. Both union and non-union talent will be considered for the show. “House of Cards” will begin filming in April 2012. Production and filming of the show will take place in Baltimore and D.C.

11 AM – 4 PM.
Extras interested in participating in the casting call are instructed to send an email to ccsubmissions01@gmail.com with a JPEG photo labeled with both your name and phone number and in the body of the email include all your sizes along with height and weight. Central Casting strongly suggests attending the open call even if you have previously submitted your information.
