Timeless
Logline: After being wrongfully convicted of his wife’s murder, Nicolas spends his time inside building a time machine to change the events of the past that ruined his life….but what he finds there may not be what he remembers.
A fast paced drama set in the near future, Nicolas is wrongfully convicted of his wife’s murder and is sent to prison. Over the next 20 years, piece by piece, the former scientist builds a time machine that transports him back to the day he lost his wife. Nicolas must stop his wife’s death from occurring- not only to save her life but his own. Timeless is a short student thesis film.
Character List:
Nicolas (Young): mid to late 20’s, caucasian male, married man, scientist, smart & clean. The “past” version of Nicolas (older). Happy and successful.
Nicolas (Older): mid to late 40’s, caucasian male, scruffy but smart. The “future” version of Nicolas (young). Focused on changing the past and revenge.
Mora: mid to late 20’s, female, clean & classic, wife of Nicolas.
Grizzled Inmate: 50’s/60’s, male, scruffy & hardened, wise, mentors Nicolas (older).
Alley Bum: 18-60 years, male, humorous, encounters Nicolas (older).
Boyfriend : mid to late 20’s, affair with Mora, bit player.
