“Promised Land” is looking for all sorts of extras and stand-ins. “Promised Land” is in production in Pittsburgh and is seeking paid extras for the film. The movie is looking for lots of different types, and various ages. please see the current needs below.
“Promised Land” is directed by Gus Van Sant. The movie stars Matt Damon and John Krasinski.
Seeking the following:
“upscale” extras for their first day of shooting
EXTRAS needed to work a one-day scene on Monday, April 23rd(first day of shooting!) This scene will be a fantastic, upscale scene, comprised of sharp looking people. There are many opportunities to be cast on this day!

Male Caucasian – 5’8” to 6’4” brown hair, med to thin build, ages 20’s to 40’s
Male Caucasian child, blond hair, med to slim build, ages 8 to 11
African American male – 5’11” to 6’, med to thin build, ages 18 to 30
Female Caucasian – 5’5” to 5’7” med to thin build, blond hair, ages 20’s to 50’s
Female Caucasian – 5’5” to 5’7” med to thin build, red hair, ages 20’s to 40’s
Female Caucasian – 5’3” to 5’8” med to thin build, brown hair, ages 20’s to 40’s
Female Caucasian – 5’2” to 5’4”, med to slim build, gray hair, ages 50’s to 70’s
We are especially searching for Photo Doubles (same height, weight, coloring as the actor) to work multiple days for two of our main actors:
Male Caucasian – 5’11” to 6’1, gray/white hair, med to large build, 60’s/70’s/80’s
Female Caucasian child, ages 8 to 11, various heights, blond/brown hair

Seeking real Cheerleaders:
High School cheerleading teams. We are searching for JV and Varsity high school cheerleading teams to work on or around the week of May 21st through May 25th (Monday through Friday). It might only be three days, we are not sure which days, until we get closer to the shoot.
If you know of a team who might be interested they should send in their team picture, in uniform and pom poms. Please send photos ASAP to promisedlandextras@gmail.com and put “Cheerleader Team” in the subject line.
Please let us know the cheerleading squad name, high school, name and ages of the girls.
Casting Basketball team:
High School basketball team! I actually need to cast two teams to play against one another. This scene will film the week of May 21 to May 25th. This might be only a few days of filming during this week. Seeking Senior citizen
Caucasian senior citizen for a one or two day shoot on or around May 15 to May 17. All extras will be paid – Pay for extras is typically $80 to $120 for upto a 12 hour day.
