NOW AUDITIONING TALENTED CHILDREN AGE 9-20 FOR PROFESSIONAL MUSICAL THEATRE TROUPE

Acting Out!, Brooklyn’s Premiere Acting School, is seeking talented children aged 9 -20 for its Triple Threat Troupe.

The Triple Threat Troupe is a professional-level musical theatre troupe that performs Broadway-style interactive shows. The Troupe has performed at a number of public and community events to rave reviews, and currently is available for private parties, birthdays, Sweet 16s and other events.

The Troupe is now expanding and auditioning for new members. We seek talented children who sing, act, and dance and who are committed and reliable. If accepted into the Troupe, children will receive professional-level musical theater training and gain valuable experience performing professionally at public events and private parties. In addition, every performer will receive a monetary stipend for paid performances for which the Troupe is hired. (However, there is no stipend for unpaid performances done for publicity purposes at community events.)

NOTE: Please be aware that if accepted into the Triple Threat Troupe, there will initially be monthly dues associated with this opportunity. This dues are necessary to help cover the Troupe’s expenses, which include paying for a professional choreographer and music director; publicity photographs and videography; stage makeup and costume design; and advertising, publicity and marketing expenses.

However, as the Troupe continues to perform at both public events and private parties, and its reputation grows and word-of-mouth spreads, our ultimate goal is for the Troupe to become self-sustaining, generating enough income to cover its expenses. Once that goal is reached, the dues can be phased out. Even from the very beginning, however, performers WILL be paid a stipend for every paid private performance the Troupe is hired for.

We are seeking talented, committed child performers who can grow with us as we continue to develop the Triple Threat Troupe into a self-sustaining, in-demand troupe of professional paid entertainers.

Seeking Female Ethnic performers – Must have strong belt and commanding presence
( Ages14- 20)

Seeking leading female with strong vocal ability and versatile acting and dance skills
(Ages 14– 20)

Seeking Male ethnic performers with strong vocal ability and strong improvisational chops. (Ages 9-13)

Seeking character males with strong vocals and improvisational skills. Looking for someone who can confidently command a crowd. (14 – 20)

Seeking all male and female types for understudy and swing roles. (Ages 9-20)

Please be prepared with an up-tempo and/or ballad from a Broadway musical or Princess movie. Dress comfortably for you will be asked to do some choreography. Females -Please be familiar with the Queen of Hearts character and a Princess you feel best suits you. Males- Please be familiar with the Mad Hatter and/or Lumiere characters. You will be asked to do an improv of one or more of these specific personalities. If you have a head shot or resume please bring them.
