Dark Horse Season Auditions

Dark Horse is excited to announce that auditions for our new “killer” season will be held Sunday January 15th beginning at 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Callbacks will be held that same day at 4:00 p.m. Location information will follow shortly. Auditions will be done in 5 min slots, and will be by appointment only. Please email Ginger at gbmel@hotmail.com to secure your slot. Please bring sheet music, and an accompanist will be provided. No acapella please. 🙂
Specific shows for which we are casting include:
“Ring of Fire: A Tribute to Johnny Cash” which will play at The Egyptian in PC the 2nd half of March. Rehearsals will start in Feb. We are looking for actor/musicians for this piece, as the actors will also double as the band. We are looking for 8 total company members. 2 will be exclusive band only, and then we will have 6 actor couples that also play in the band. Instruments we need to cover are drums, acoustic and electric guitar, fiddle, keys, harmonica, and trumpet. Johnny Cash audition songs for which you accompany yourself, are more than welcome!! 😉
“Chicago” This show is not 100% locked in as of yet, but we are hoping that it soon will be. This would be our July show up at the Egyptian in PC. We are looking for Triple Threats here! Get out your fishnets and g-strings because this will be a Dark Horse hit! Please come with an audition song in the style of the show, and if called back at 4:00, you will be need to be ready to MOVE!
We have a lot of other amazing shows in store, but will not be announcing the entire season just yet. We’re still working out contracts and rights acquisitions, but expect a full season announcement shortly! Can’t wait to see you at auditions!
