The contest began today and it will end on the 29th. To become the next ABC star, you will need to create and upload a video audition using one of the scenes and scripts that they provide. You will also have to include a short intro. You can see all the rules, scripts, etc. here.
ABC is looking for aspiring actors from across the United States and giving them a chance to audition online through video submissions!
ABC Make Me a Star is ABC’s digital talent competitions that give America’s undiscovered actors a chance to showcase their talent to the world.
There are 2 categories, one for teens and one for adults. A winner will be chosen in each and once all videos have been received and the deadline passes, judging will begin. The youngest you can be to enter the teen competition is 13 years old. Everyone 18 and over will be part of the adult talent contest.
Judging of entries will be done online through a voting system and all the entries will be narrowed down to a list of semi-finalists which will go after the talent contract.
So what are the prizes that you can win?
For adults, the prize is a talent agreement with ABC and $25,000.00. For teens (13 to 17), the prize is also a talent agreement with ABC and a $10,000.00 prize.
