Producers for the show will hold casting calls in Detroit, New York, Charlotte, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami and Connecticut.

The auditions are rather long and you should expect to be there all day. There will be tests including a multiple choice questionnaire. If one passes the tests they will then move on to another phase which will include an interview with the shows producers and casting staff.
The game show is looking for all sorts of people in all age groups and occupations that know their trivia and have knowledge on a variety of subjects.
Due to the large amount of people who audition and pass auditions, contestants that are eligible to be on the show will then be put on a waiting list and will be called when their turn comes up. The waiting list can be as long as 2 years so if you applied last year and were accepted, you probably are on the list. Anyone who applied prior to 2011 will need to audition again for a chance to get on Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
