Do you have twins that are between 12 to 16 years old?
Have you ever wonder how genetics and environment influence your child’s brain and personality?
Help USC scientists learn!
This research study conducted by Dr. Yaling Yang at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles involves taking pictures of your twins’ brains (using non-invasive MRI), filling out surveys about how they think and feel, and spitting into a cup. The entire study will take about 6 hours.
NO RADIATION! NO INJECTIONS!
Each of your twins will be paid $25/hour and you will be paid $35/ hour (usually about $380 per family for the visit).
Your twins may be eligible if they:
• are between 12 and 16 years old
• have no metal in their body (for example: surgical implants, permanent metal braces, etc.)
• do not have a neurological disorder
• had a birth weight more than 3 pounds 5 ounces
This research is voluntary. You will be with your children throughout the visit, and you can stop the participation any time during the visit for any reason. Any information you or your children provided will be kept strictly confidential.
