Hunger Games Mockingjay Auditions for extras

The Hunger Games part 3 is filming in Atlanta Georgia right now and the casting directors are looking for Atlanta locals to be extras in the film.

The Hunger Games Trilogy will actually be 4 films. The last part, Mockingjay will be made into 2 movies, Mockingjay part 1 and Mockingjay part 2.

Lionsgate had announced earlier this year that they will split the last installment of the series, Mockingjay, into two films, releasing Part 1 on November 21, 2014, and Part 2 on November 20, 2015.

The second installment of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is due to be released in the US around Thanksgiving time. Catching Fire is a prequel to the 1st Hunger Games and Mockingjay part 1 and 2 will be the sequels.

The new movie brings back some the original cast and adds some new characters:

Jennifer Lawrence will return as Katniss

• Natalie Dormer as Cressida
• Stef Dawson as Annie Cresta
• Evan Ross as Messalla
• Julianne Moore as President Coin
• Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme
• Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne
• Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark

The casting call from CL casting does not mention the name of the movie but is written in a way that is fitting.

They are seeking Atlanta extras of all ethnicities that are thin, slim, skinny.

Please only apply if you are 18 or over and live in the Atlanta Georgia area. Even though all extras will be paid for their time, travel expenses will not. Extras can expect to make about $80 per day or about minimum wage and should expect to work an 8 to 12 hour day during filming.

Mockingjay is is based on a book written by Suzanne Collins. The book is the final installment of the series and it was written in 2010, a few years after the Hunger Games book came out.

Hunger Games: Mockingjay continues the story of Katniss Everdeen who in this part is involved in a rebellion against the Capitol. Katniss is talked into being “The mockingjay”, the symbol of the rebellion. Katniss joins the rebellion and the group of rebels try to takeover the districts.
