The Acadia Players in Crowley Louisiana have announced auditions for “Love, Sex and the I.R.S.”
“Love, Sex and the I.R.S.” by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore is a 3 act comedy that has some adult themes.
The show is looking to cast 8 roles, 5 for men and 3 for women that are 18 or older.
Open auditions are scheduled for January 6 through 8 2014 at the Acadia Center for the Arts. No experience is necessary to be cast in the play.

1/6, 1/7 and 1/8 2014 – all 3 dates will begin at 6 PM.

About the show:
The Acadia Players present the classic farce that everyone should be doing – especially around tax time! Jon Trachtman and Leslie Arthur are out of work musicians who room together in New York City. To save money, Jon has been filing tax returns listing the pair as a married. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service informs the “couple” they’re going to be investigated. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon’s fiancée, Kate. Complicating matters further Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon’s back, Jon’s mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son’s fiancée, and Leslie’s ex girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won’t see her anymore.
Rehearsal Schedules will be given out after production is cast. Performances will be April 10-13.
