NON-EQUITY THEATER AUDITION:
Description:
Still Point Theatre Collective will be conducting non-Equity auditions for their new, original touring work entitled Living Water: the Story of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. This performance is based on the true story of a New Orleans church community that rebuilt after the devastation of the Hurricane Katrina. For pay.
Time commitment:
The play will open in Chicago on October 16, and be available for national touring after that. Time commitment discussed in more detail prior to casting.
Needed are:
• One African American female actor, 30-50; to play multiple characters from teenager to retiree; must sing.
• One African American male actor, 30-50, to play multiple characters; must sing.
• One white male actor, 40-60; must sing.
Audition time:
Saturday, September 14
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Auditions will be held at the Still Point office,
4300 N. Hermitage in Chicago.
To audition:
Please prepare two one minute monologues showing character range; at least one of them dramatic. Prepare one or two brief songs – one should be a spiritual or hymn. If you play an instrument please let us know that when you schedule your audition; bring it with you if possible.
