Mare Nostrum Elements (MNE) is seeking 6 performers (3 males, 3 females) who are willing to approach dance as actors (no speaking required), to develop character and express movement beyond the choreographed steps. Working from our signature Movement Theater method The Wave Within! We will create physical characters, rooted in reality, expressing the basic human condition through dance.
During the workshop/audition we will cast performers for Abballamu cu Ventu (dance with the wind) to be premiered at the Italian International Dance Festival in New York City.

Paid position: $500
3-week commitment (8-10 rehearsals), tech/dress + performance in NYC in late March.
Audition Date: Sunday, February 24
Time: 1-6 pm (1-4 workshop/audition, 4:30-6 call back)
