The cult classic Robert Rodriguez vampire flick, From Dusk Till Dawn, is now being made into a TV series. The original movie came out in ’96 and starred George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino.
The original film had an all star cast which included George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, Salma Hayek, Cheech Marin and Danny Trejo. The new series will bring back the old charecters including Santánico Pandemonium (originally played by Selma Hayak) who will now be played by Eiza Gonzalez.
Robert Rodriguez who originally directed the movie “from Dust ‘Till Dawn” will be writing, producing and directing the new TV series. There also seem to be plans for a new Television network called El Rey that Rodriguez is also working on. The “Dusk ‘Till Dawn” Tv series is supposed to premiere on the new network and be the first scripted series for the new El Rey Network.
The new Rodriguez Vampire series is filming now in Austin Texas and a casting call for extras has been released by Austin Texas extras casting director Beth Speko Casting. The show is looking for various extras, you can see the descriptions below.
Please note that the production is only looking for Texas residents to work as extras on the show and proof of residency is required. All extras cast for the show will be paid between $60 and $125 per day. The amount paid is dependent on the hours worked and extras can expect to work 8 to 12 hour days. Please only submit if you have availability for the listed days of filming and fit the description.
Seeking families, couples and individuals who have NOT yet appeared on Robert Rodriguez’s TV Series “From Dusk Till Dawn” to work as extras NEXT THURSDAY, Dec. 19.
Must match one of the descriptions below and have full day/evening availability on Thursday, Dec. 19.
* “Church Goers”: Individuals or real couples, clean cut, no visible tattoos, ages 18+ with access to church/Sunday best clothing
* “Families”: Real families, clean cut, no visible tattoos, with children ages 7-17 and access to church/Sunday best clothing.
Must have reliable transportation to get to the set in Austin for a possible early call time on Thursday, Dec. 19. All extras for this scene need to have access to “Sunday best” church clothing to bring (three options, nothing that looks too wintery, staying away from bright white.)
Pay rate is $79.75/10hr for adults and $60/8hr for kids.
