It is a poetic, funny and heart felt play about Richard Burbage trying to save his theatre by presenting a play-writing contest between many of Shakespeare’s contemporaries. Ben Jonson, Thomas Middleton, Francis Beaumont and the ghost of Christopher Marlowe. We are looking for three woman and three men to play the playwrights, Shakespeare and Selwyn, a minstrel. Directed by Robert Currier, Artistic Director for Marin Shakespeare. The rehearsals will be at The Berkeley Unitarian Fellowship. The beginning of Sept through Oct 11th. Tech week and the show will be at the Phoenix Theatre Annex 414 Mason St. in San Francisco. Oct 13 – Nov 17. The shows will be Fri & Sat 8pm. Sun. 7pm.
