Poet Theatricals is casting current and future productions for Celebrity Cruise Lines’ Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette, and new Reflection cruise ships. Michele Morrison, dir. Brief rehearsal periods in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, followed by six- to nine-month performance contracts on Australian, Caribbean, Alaskan and Mediterranean itineraries; current and future contracts available year-round.
Seeking—Vocalists: male and female, 20+, theatrical singers with excellent vocal technique and versatility, for Broadway-style, Cirque-style, and pop productions, female altos must have strong belt to D and sopranos must have a top C, male tenors must have strong A flat and strong falsetto; Dancers: male and female, 18+, versatile, classically trained, with strong ballet and jazz technique as well as improvisational skills, should be willing and able to train and perform at heights up to 25 feet. Note: If contracted, some dancers will be trained by in-house aerial trainers to perform various aerial choreography in addition to dance choreography.
Auditions will be held April 2 at 10 a.m. (vocalists) and April 3 at 10 a.m. (dancers) at Chelsea Studios, 151 W. 26th St. (btwn. Sixth & Seventh aves.), NYC. Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to audition. Singers, bring sheet music in the appropriate key. Be prepared to learn several short lines of music and a short movement combination if you are invited for a callback. Female dancers should wear stage makeup, fishnets, and heels; male dancers should wear dance sneakers. All should wear form-fitting dance attire.
